The Goddess in my Journal

Journaling soothes my soul.
It's a place where things evolve and come to life....
In my journals I celebrate my love for art. These journals pages just take me away to a different space and time. This one for example...
I started out on this lovely lady ages ago.
I actually never work on any special journal/page continuously. Creativity leads me the way and when I get bored or don't like the way my spread is coming along, well I shut that journal or turn the page and start something anew.
Yesterday I came along that somewhat sad looking lady and then got totally carried away (as usual!)...
This little one on the other side of the page was bothering me. So she had to go.
After painting, drawing & gessoing (is that actually a word?!)...
I then started - hold tight to your seats - sewing (!) feathers on the page.
I really do like the way she's coming along at the moment, but I'm gonna close that journal for awhile until I continue again someday.
Yep, that's me... an art journal addict.

Hope you have fun...

  4. Oh and what lovely work you have done on these pages!!!
I resemble your Art Journal Addict remark too although my pages are mostly collage. The books keep filling up and I can't stop either :-)
Stitching the feathers onto your page is magical ♥

  5. Hallo Michele,

      Lg Sadie

  6. Your lady with the feathers in her hair is beautiful and I look forward to seeing her when she's finished. I pick up feathers in the woods when I walk my dogs, now I know what to do with them.

  14. I love love love LOVE this!!! It is so beautiful! I have always wished I had that kind of artistic talent. I do what I can, which isn't much, just my little travel journal, but I long to do the kind of art journalling you do. It's just absolutely beautiful. And to think you're a native Wisconsinite! I know another blogger who's from Kenosha. Thanks for the nice things you said about my travel journal on my post today.

  18. Your artwork is stunning, Michelle! Drawing faces has always been a challenge for me, but you have done a beautiful job here! And your colors look great together. I am so happy you joined us for our Crazy For Color Challenge at Anything But Cute, but I thought I should point out that this was posted before our challenge start date and there is no link back to our challenge. I just assume you are not familiar with our guidelines, so I'm just hoping you will enter our challenges again in the future, because your artwork is amazing!!! Hugs! Sara Emily DT
